My Pet is a dedicated, subscription-gated module inside Elemental Herbals that helps pet owners support their dogs, cats, small pets and backyard chickens with herbs, therapeutic foods and natural topical remedies — matched to each species and weight, with veterinary safety guidance throughout.
Species we support
How's My Pet? Questionnaire
Tell us your pet's name, species and weight, then tick any minor issues you're noticing. The questionnaire covers dogs, cats, small pets (rabbits, guinea pigs, birds) and backyard chickens. It matches your selections to safe herbs, therapeutic foods and topical ointments — filtered by species and weight-based dosing — so every suggestion is appropriate for the animal in front of you.
- Species + weight + symptom selection in one screen
- Covers dogs, cats, small pets & chickens
- Results sorted by the number of issues each remedy addresses
- Save, print or download a PDF of each assessment
Herb Library
A growing library of pet-safe herbs, each profiled with its common and Latin name, part used, traditional uses, preparation method, species safety flags, weight-based dosing (cat, small dog, medium dog, large dog and small pet), internal tincture guidance, contraindications and cautions. Wormwood and pennyroyal are included as external-only entries with clear toxicity warnings.
- Weight-banded dosing for every safe species
- Internal tincture / glycerite guidance with alcohol-evaporation notes for cats
- Toxic-to flags so unsafe herbs are never shown for a species
- Alphabetised for quick reference
Therapeutic Food Recipes
Practical, kitchen-ready recipes that support your pet from the inside out — calming biscuits, joint-support treats, fresh-breath biscuits, honey & slippery elm throat syrup for weak trachea, lung & cartilage support broth, and many more. Each recipe lists ingredients, step-by-step preparation, species-specific dosing, frequency, storage and cautions, and shows which species it is safe for.
- Ingredients, steps, storage & cautions on every recipe
- Species compatibility shown on each card
- Chicken-specific recipes including natural deworming support
- Weak / collapsing trachea support for small dogs
Ointments & Topical Remedies
External-only salves, rinses and powders for skin, ear, eye, hot-spot and parasite support — formulated with species safety front of mind, including essential-oil warnings for cats. Each entry includes ingredients, preparation, application frequency and cautions about licking and ingestion.
- Topical salves, herbal rinses and powders
- Flea, mite and lice repellent blends
- Hot-spot and wound support
- Clear essential-oil warnings for cats
Saved Assessments
Every assessment you generate can be saved to your private history. Re-open a past assessment to review the matched remedies, or delete it when you no longer need it. Saved assessments feed straight into the Progress tab so you can watch your pet's wellness journey over time.
- Private, per-user assessment history
- Re-open or delete past assessments
- Records pet name, species, weight, issues and matched remedies
Progress Tracking
A 90-day progress view summarises how often each issue has been reported across your saved assessments, with frequency charts and summary statistics — total assessments, distinct issues, most-reported issue and most recent assessment date. It helps you spot patterns and share meaningful updates with your vet.
- Issue-frequency chart over the last 90 days
- Summary statistics at a glance
- Identifies recurring or persistent issues
- Supports informed conversations with your vet
Safety & Dosing Reference
A standalone safety reference combining a weight-based dose-band finder with toxic-food warnings per species and the red-flag signs that warrant prompt veterinary care. Use it any time you're unsure whether a food, dose or symptom is safe — before you give anything to your pet.
- Weight-band finder for dogs, cats, small pets & chickens
- Toxic-food warnings by species
- Veterinary red-flag signs
- Always-on veterinary disclaimer
Always veterinary-guided
My Pet offers general naturopathic wellness guidance only. It does not diagnose, treat or replace veterinary care. Persistent, severe or worsening symptoms — especially breathing difficulty, blue gums, collapse or prolonged inappetence — warrant prompt veterinary attention. Always tell your vet about any herbs, foods or supplements you give your pet.
